Several houses and farmlands destroyed in a flood in Kaduna following a heavy thunderstorm that occurred in the State. The downpour began on the night of September 10, Tuesday and lasted till the early hours of Wednesday.
According to SaharaReporters, the most affected areas include Gonin Gora, Ungwan Romi, Narayi, Kamazo, Kabala Costain, and Ungwan Rimi, all in Kaduna North and Chikun local government areas of the state. Massive flooding also occurred in the Birnin Gwari area of the state.
"Everything we had in our house has been destroyed", a resident of Ungwan Rimi, Mr. Sani Abubakar said.
